Smooth Operator: My Go-To Trail Treat
If I had to pick the most used product in the Real Meals range for me personally, it would hands down be the Berry Smoothie. For any significant day in the outdoors, I’ll always have one—often two. It’s my go-to trail snack, not just for the taste and energy, but because it’s also hydrating. It’s like a meal and a drink in one.
They’re superbly refreshing, and on multi-day trips especially, I find myself really craving that fruity hit—not to mention the ice cream. If I can, I’ll let it sit longer than the recommended 10 minutes. You can drink it straight away if needed, but the berries are still a bit crunchy at that point. When I have the patience, I’ll leave it 20–30 minutes, and the result is next-level good.
If possible, mix it with icy cold water—it really brings out the creaminess of the ice cream. You can drink it straight from the pouch, or pour it into a cup or bottle if you prefer.
A must-have in your pack, in my opinion.
