  1. adam –

    Love this one.

  2. Lucy & Julia –

This was Julia’s favorite. Especially good meal if hiking on your own.

  3. Crystal –

So delicious and satisfying and full of slow-cooked flavor! Impressive.

  4. Steve Austin –

Great tasty evening meal after a long day paddling

  5. David Johnson –

    Absolutely delicious

  6. Michele –

    Yum! Nice flavours

  7. Rebecca –

This meal is delicious, great flavour.

  8. Geoff –

A nice tasty dish. Could have done with a little more chili. The serving size was perfect. I’m looking forward to trying the other vegetarian offerings.

  9. jason@realmeals.co.nz –

Glad you enjoyed it Geoff, it’s always a juggle with Chili, one person’s comfort zone is another person’s ‘burn’ zone.

  10. Rachel –

This was my least favourite of all the Real Meals I have tried so far. I thought I would love it because I love Moroccan flavoring but it lacked flavour. I ended up adding more water as I found it quite dry and stodgy using the amount on the packet

  11. Kirsty –

A little bit stodgy we thought and not as flavoursome as the other meals

  12. sue hart –

enjoyable meal a little spicier would make it more delicious

  13. Elizabeth –

A bit tasteless. Needed some salt and pepper.

  14. Jen Petrie –

Needed a little salt to add to the flavour but overall a satisfying meal!

  15. Hannah –

    Delicious!! Highly recommend this meal.

  16. Sharon Bond –

Yumm. Just enough spice kick. Rehydrates really well. Love the packet that tears off in two sections. I’m relatively new to the backpacking world and have been testing out a lot of different plant based meals. This one is a winner.

  17. Luke –

Edible, but not that enjoyable. Least favourite in their vegan range. Needs way more flavour

  18. jason@realmeals.co.nz –

Thank you for the feedback Luke, It’s always tricky to meet everyone’s taste but we’ll have a look at the Tagine. Just a heads up, the Tagine contains honey, so doesn’t meet vegan guidelines.

  19. Merrick –

Mild spicy flavour, most satisfying. Just right, not too spicy or salty. Recommended.

  20. Virginia –

I had this recently and found it almost inedible. When my other hiking mates tried it they agreed .
Definitely don’t recommend it was foul!

  21. Tim McD –

Mum and Dad loved it. The kids found it too spicy, but it’s really only mild for adults.

  22. Yunyun Li –

Love the flavour profile but Couscous always needs more salt than you think so quite bland. A hint more spice would be great as other meals already cater to non spicy hikers. Could be a 5 star meal if it have more salt and chilli

  23. Megan –

I loved this, very convenient and warming after tramping in the rain. I find it hard to find vegetarian, dairy free tramping food.
